Replacing Command, disconnect battery?
Hi Everyone,
I was wondering if I need to disconnect the battery before I swap out the command unit? If I disconnect the battery will I need to re-sync any of the electronics or get any error messages when I reconnect the battery back? I have a 2003 e500, swapping a audio 50 for a command head unit.
Thanks,
Alvin

when i swapped out the comand for my wife's c-280, i removed the battery
since this wasnt my car i didnt even notice that the windows and other things needed to be resync
fortunately her car was up for regular service in the coming days and the wife noticed something wasnt the same....the SA resync'd everything for free

I guess I will disconnect the battery to be safe. I found this on the forum for how to sync the car after reconnecting the battery.
