Complaint: MB of Laguna Niguel

I realize that I am shamelessly spamming this here in W211, since I've detailed my problem with MBLN at the link below, so please accept my apology.

https://mbworld.org/forums/showthrea...threadid=50038

But since there are so many potential W211 shoppers here who live in South OC, I thought you should be aware of their outstanding [Sarcasm] Service Dept.

Thanks for listening,

EDJ

You should link that on all the other forums as well. It doen't just affect the E-series owners.

What a bunch of crap. I have not noticed any of the seat settings or mileage changes...but I will sure look next time.

Let us know if anyone even replies. If you could find the right person in MBUSA it would be good to send the letters there as well.

Yep

Yep, MBUSA's CEO will be Cc:'d as will the dealership owner. I can neither confirm nor deny that I'm gonna Cc: the dealership owner at her home address to avoid the mail filters.

Thanks for the tip.

Interesting topic. I recently purchased my car from a southern california dealership (not the one that you mention) and had it shipped out of state. When I received the car there were 5 extra miles on the odometer than the official documentation indicated. The fact that the interior of the car was not in pristine condition (smudges on the headliner and some of the vinyl) has always made me suspect that someone took the car for a joy ride. Unfortunately in my case it is impossible to tell who actually put the extra mileage on the car (i.e. dealer vs. shipper).

Sorry to hear about your situation. With that kind of experience I would never have my car serviced at that dealership again. I certainly hope that MBUSA provides you with a decent response.

The 5 extra miles were probably attributable to the dealer filling the car with gas. As an example, when I purchased my car from MB Long Beach, the car had 13 miles on the ODO... but when I took delivery (once they cleaned it and put gas in it), it went up to 17.

Of course, my interior was pristine, so I see where you could be upset... then again, the shipper probably sat in the car, and messed with things when transporting...

ElDiabloJoe, I am sorry to hear about your experience. MB of Laguna is one of the dealerships I considered buying from. After hearing about what you've been going through with them, I am glad I went somewhere else. Definitely sounds like some uncaring, negligent, reckless, and irresponsible souls took your car for a joy ride. Like you, I always request "no wash" on my cars for the exact same reasons you listed.

bump is just an empty post to "bump" this back up to the top so that it will gain some attention again. common practice.

Rock.

Usually only

...acceptable if an appropriate amount of time has passed since the last post (24+ hours in this case ) and if the topic is still applicable/worthy.

MBLN

I have gotten several cars from Fletcher Jones and don't have those problems. However, when I use their parking when going on vacation (you can leave the car with them free, they will take you to the airport and pick you up) I often find the radio is tuned to a Rap station. Once the rear rim was bent and the front apron torn (discovored both too late to report it), and on another occassion the front apron was agin torn (found it in time for them ot own up to it and replace it ($3500).
My service manager (Ken DeNault) is tops and makes sure that I am taken care of to my expectations and standards.
I would highly recommend them and Ken.

Update

FYI-

MBLN's G.M. contacted me today. I've posted the lengthy update on the original thread in the Off-Topic forum:

Glad things worked out for you. Too bad you had to resort to contacting the GM at his home before he did anything.
