hey guy im having a e350 shipped with carmax, in about a week it will come in.
going through the features "GPS" isnt listed
does the 09 e350 not come with street navigation?


if not what do i need to do to get GPS?
also will its pair and stream music off my iphone5?
if not is there a AUX port?
i paid $650 to have it transferred, no commitment to buy
id rather lose the 650 and get a MB with navigation and iphone bluetooth streaming


i noticed in the 09 the navagtion is different from a 08
is it touch screen?

 

I'm not sure if the '09 came with GPS standard, but i don't think so.

However it did come with the revamped COMAND which is much better than 08 and less model years. It's not touch screen, Mercedes doesn't offer any touch-based navigations systems.

It does have AUX.
This COMAND does have Bluetooth built-in and i'm pretty sure it streams audio off your phone.

If you have the VIN i can look it up for you and give you the detailed options before you buy it.

I'm not sure but from my readings i think you can. However this involves A LOT of labor. I personally would just leave it..

Since it's NTG2.5 then the maps load directly from a built-in hdd so no need for a disc-> no need for Navigation DVD Drive in the back. However i am sure you would need the antenna and some other stuff.

It's misleading, actually the low cost teleaid is the digital version of the Initial tele-aid which was analog only when it was first introduced. There's no higher cost one.

 

All US-Spec W211s from 2007-2009 came with P1 Package standard, which included navigation. The only way it wouldn't have that is if the Original Owner opted out for some stupid reason.

 

On the datacard i pulled it was specified that the COMAND he has comes without Navigation. Now that rings a bell, i remember P1 having Heated Seats, H/K Sound System and rear sunshade as well as navigation.
Maybe the '09 was different because of the new COMAND ?

 

Although the 2009 has bluetooth onboard, you are unable to stream music. This is only used for the phone. If you want to stream music, one option is to purchase a Mercedes Media Interface Plus (MIP). This plugs in the glove box port. However, as an owner of a MIP I would not waste my money. This device creates headaches when using the phone.

 

Data sheet on one I am looking at has option 512 - Comand APS with DVD changer. Does that mean it comes with Nav?
