Hopefully this is the forum for me... This is my 2nd Mercedes, my first being an 02' C320... It's an 04' E320 with the appearance package, I purchased it off it's 2nd owner who had purchased it 6 years ago with 32k and now it at 98,5XX...

Just picked this up yesterday and ready to start doing some small mods...

I figured I will just start with the front and work my way back, so looking to the forum for some suggestions on where to locate some parts.

I would also like to take change out my fog and parking light bulbs... I have been lingering on the site for a few hours trying to find the best matching bulb ideas, but still a little confused at what would be best. Any suggestions for this would be great. My car is equipped with the Bi-Xenon adaptive headlights

Keyless Go does not work, actually not really sure what it does or how I would go about looking into it. I do know that the push start button on the shifter does nothing when I press it. Anyone?

If I can get some suggestions/replies for those items, that should put me on my way... Car didn't come with NAV, so I had a local stereo shop order me the items to install a touch screen Kenwood NAV that I had in my 2010' Silverado that I am trading in.

I'm a 30 year old stay at home dad to 3 kids, work on custom Harley's (Which I built/own 2 currently) and part out VW's in my spare time for some play money. I am an active forum member on a vw forum (vwvortex), have been for 10 years with over 11,000 posts, so I know how forums work. Just figured I would give a little back round(Not that anyone gives a crap haha). Can't wait to get to the registry tomorrow morning and put some miles on my new (to me) ride!!!

Anything in general that you feel I should need to know, please share. Otherwise, hope that I can be welcomed to the site with open arms.

It depends on which way you wanna go when it comes to modding you car.
You can go for the sporty look, classy look or both! It all depends on your taste and how you want your car to end up.

If it was me though, I wouldnt go for the clear side markers. Im lucky enough that it didnt come standard here in Aus, never liked that side marker.
Anyways, I would probably tint it, paint it with smoke or change it to smoked. But like I said, if it was me. Goodluck mate!

 

I wanted to get smoked bumper markers, but aren't having much luck finding them... All I seem to find it 2007 and up... Where can I find some?

I ended up just ordering clear and will have them lightly tinted along with the tail lights. At least then everything will match for sure. I purchased some hyper white LED bulbs for my parking lights and new fog light bulbs to install today. I did make sure the LED bulbs have the required resistors built in so it will not trigger a malfunction on the dash... Will post pics later...

Going to order up a flush hood badge today and thinking of ordering a new black grill... Brought the car to the body shop that does all my work today and he said it would be cheaper if I just bought a new grill for him to paint. As my chrome grill is very pitted....

also, you can just buy black grille straight away instead of buying then painting.

 

Ebay?? I read some buyer feedback on some ebay grills and seen the quality is poor... I would rather do it once than twice, any suggestions on where to obtain a black grill?
