What's happening Sully, it's been a while?

I have bought my car from a used car dealership with the buttons and horns on steering not working. I have checked the spiral link and it is ok. I also get communication error. I have acquired an airbag with the original (after the vin) number and it still has the same problem.
Any luck with your case?

Checked the fuses and relays too. I thought the horn is a sepparate circuit but I see it communicates via CAN, am I correct? There is a module in the steering wheel column in which the spiral is plugged in, is that a phisical one or it also processes data? From the buttons onward everything seems to be ok. I dont quite understand with whom the ecu cannot communicate. The airbag module or something else located in the steering wheel column

Checked everything, the horns relay doesnt get any signal. Communication error with the buttons controller. I could use a wiring diagram for the steering wheel column. I dont understand the signals route

Unfortunately mine still does not work as I'm fed up trying, I replaced steering modul still nothing so I asked someone with more knowladge and here is the reply from him;

Airbag module needs coding (using Online Star Diagnosis so it knows what stuff is in your car), and really the SCM which is part of the switch-pack around the steering wheel set needs coding if you change that (but not sure if you are doing that).
I'm pretty sure (but others please correct me!) that the airbag module is locked to the car - although it may just be the coding of what airbags etc is in the car is locked once initially done, and that after an airbag deployment the module must be replaced (i.e can't be reset, apart from just the risk that the electronics that triggered the bag may be fried)

Update:
Part a0365457032 is missing from my steering wheel :-) it is a signal converter for prefaceloft as i understood. Thats why the communication error. I am searching a used one around my town. Be back with updates.

My issue is fixed all the buttons and horn works fine. The problem was steering wheel, I replaced the air bag everything works well.

Having the same issue.

DTC 9001, LIN bus communication error in the SCM (steering control module).
The connections all work, transmission shift buttons work, but when I use iCarsoft to see if the SCM seeing buttons being pressed, it doesn't see the the gearshift button action.
Bizarre. happened after I removed the steering wheel.

Clearing the code brings it back instantaneously.
