you should always check gap regardless if they are "pre gapped" or not. they run great in my car, better mpg and more power. i know several people that have gotten the same results out of them so i am happy, not to mention these will probably be the last spark plugs this car will get while i own it.

I checked with ngk. The iridium plugs you have on your car will not fit facelift cars. They only make the double platinums for my car. According to them, none of their iridium plugs will fit/work right on my 2009 E350.

Go with the platinum spark plugs then on your facelift model from NGK, that's what I did on my 2007 E550 and it worked just fine.

Other than the plugs. Are there any wires or boots that I should replace? Or are the facelift models direct ignition coil type.

Well. This was a major waste of time. After all this research on what plugs to buy, I found the service records and it shows that the dealer replaced the plugs less than a year ago.
