Need help installing this (DRL LED Strip)

Bought these from Lemonsqueezy (awesome dude btw...highly recommend if he's selling anything else)

I need help with the wiring (and how to take the fog lights out as well).

Questions:

1. How do I access the fog light compartment
2. Where do I find the ACC/ Ignition power wire?
3. Where do I find the wire to connect the blue wire to?

Thanks!

This is what came with the kit:

This is what the LED strips look like:

I have a feeling that the wiring goes to the front SAM but I'm honestly not well versed on the wiring diagrams other than the ones relevant to my HID install =\

As for LemonSqueezy I'm going to have to give a -11/10 rating

I found a solution to this.

Using the existing fog harness, I can power the strip. And taping into the harness for my headlights I can initiate the place light function.

Does that mean once ignition is turned on the lights turn on too? or only when fog lights are turned on?

Unfortunately itll be when the fogs turn on. I have no idea how I can tap these into a circuit that will power it when tbe ignition goes on. I'll have to look at wires close by to other components that will supply atleast 12v and turns on with the ignition and stays on.

With the foglights route I can control when they turn on instead of always being on. I'm always in the habit of turning lights on no matter what anyways so ill likely go this route.

Lemon, you may need to go the same route but I'm not sure, of course when you get yours I'm sure you'll find a similar solution. I'm excited to see how your Wald LEDs are Going to come out!

This way in order to power the strip you also have to power your fog lights, thus why I will tap wire in front SAM and run it under the fender to the bumper and it will power every time you turn the key on. Should be easy to find fat red and fat brown wires.

Do you know what needs to be done if someone wants them to turn on as soon they press the unlock button? or is that even possible?

I would assume you will have to feed another wire from the fog lights, but I don't see the point since fogs always come on and stay on when you unlock and lock your car.

Just wondering because fog lights only turn on upon unlock when they are set on automatic. I leave my headlamp switch to off because i find them turning on and off during driving when it's not even dark outside, which is unnecessary and shortens the life of my HID's.

Do you think it's better to just tap into the front SAM directly and leave the fog light wires alone?

Mine are always on and I have them installed 5 years ago and they are still working.

I would do this if I have to.

Taping in front of the SAM is foreign language to me. Can you elaborate?

Is this a better solution to the fog light solution.

Thanks

Front SAM is the box under the hood which host fuses and connections between different car modules.

I can't find one for your car to show you a picture for front SAM, I guess it has different wiring but I found pictures of two other locations from which you can try to get power.

Thanks for the information guys, I think that I will have to extend the wires to reach the SAM under the hood, however, I will be installing these tomorrow and going with the fog light route for now until I can do more research around where to tap in at the SAM. Current setup is going to be:

Fog power for 12v power
Headlight trigger wire for place light function.

I'll take pictures as I go along.
