W211 E55 Charcoal Canister Question

Check Engine light came on a few days ago & dealer said its the Charcoal canister - $850 to replace. What the ....? Also, the dreaded smell I would get in the garage turned out to be a leaky gas tank & they will replace under warranty. Anyone have experience w/ the Charcoal canister being replaced? Any pics of how to do it yourself? Thanks

+1 I replaced my stock mufflers with magna flow "resonators" and tips. I had straight pipes where the oem resonator was, it sounded glorious but a bit loud. I put in a smaller oem resonator to quiet it down.

I replaces my mifflers with a Vibrant 1141 Ultra Quiet resonators. But don't let the "ultra quiet " full you LOL...that **** sound vicious....like a C63 on steroids....i'm blown away from the sound quality.....no drone what soever, its for that exotic super car sound...its unreal...i love it.they cost me 190$ and 150$ for labor reusing stock tips and my shop even tucked them in behind the bumper kind of tilted so u dont see anything but the tips.nothing is hanging down like the stock mufflers....i'll post picture later on....here's the best video i was able to take w an iphone....ufcorse that video does not even get close to what it really is in reality....quiet at cruise but when i step on it i see ppl turning heads and looking in their mirrors what that is...oh and driving it on auto/manual is where that baby sings...(shifting at 3-3300rpms)...i know i'm too much lol but can't be happier with the turnout.here's the video and i'll post pics later.
