BRAKE HELP!!

Changed brake pads and rotors on my e500 with quality aftermarket parts.. Now my car is flashing red saying "brake is defective" stop vehicle...also the handbrake sign and abs are on now... Maybe the aftermarket brake sensors are defective?? Because they we're put it properly and that's all I could assume is the problem either that or it needs to be reset by a specialist or at a dealership, please help?!

Did you deactivate the SBC? By either unplugging or Star deactivation? If you do not have the tool to diagnose please tow your car to an Indy shop or dealer.

Good luck!

The sensor won't cause that problem. Did you open the system and get air in it? When you pushed the pistons back into the caliper did you open the bleed screw to allow fluid to exit and not be pushed back into the SBC. You might try disconnect battery, unplug sbc, wait 30 min, plug in SBC doors open on the car, connect battery then get in depress pedal brake and turn key on while holding pedal brake. IT might reset. Otherwise that from your description sounds like the SBC causing the problem and not the pads or sensor on the wheel.

Did you unplug the SBC and not plug it back in solid?
