Led lights.

You know those interior & exterior lights which are all over car. Glove box, foot area, under mirrors, license plate, under doors. All of them use the same bulb. Can i replace those with LED? If yes which one do i need?

Search "w211 led" on eBay. You'll find individual ones along with full swap kits. Just be sure they say "canbus". Your standard LEDs will throw a code on your dash and your car will cut power to them.

Or check out the vendor "AZN Optics" on this forum. He sells a lot of the correct LED bulbs for our cars. You will love the upgrade because I certainly do as well.

Do the LEDs not make the light in the car too harsh? I don't really want my car have a flurescent light/office building feel to it. Also, currently my lights gradually come on and off when you open the door. Anyone know if the LED bulbs will do the same?

What's so unique about LEDs? Just curious! Like mb1993 says, I like dome lights coming on and off gradually, will LEDs do that?

Yes they will gradually come on and off with LED's. It's a very pleasant feeling and by no means does it feel like an office space. As long as they aren't overly bright bulbs, it's really nice. My bulbs have been running strong for over 2 years. Here's a crappy picture I took a while back.

So I've got my kit.. Ive replace foot area back and front as well as under 4 doors. Those are 36mm bulbs... I have more led light for dome, map lights and under mirror( I don't really care for those) i wish the kit came with more 36mm bulbs for the trunk 3bulbs ,license plate 2 bulbs and sun visor 2 more bulbs. The kit also came with 2x40mm led whixh i have no idea where to put? Does anyone knows where 40mm goes? Ive checked license plates but those are 36mm.

Maybe the 40mm one goes in the glovebox?
