in either auto or at any fan speed the A/C only blows cold on the passenger side not the driver. its a 2005 e320 standard unit not the digital. any body else have this problem ?? does the head unit need replaced ??

I believe this is a fairly common problem on the W211s. It's the heater valve. It's a $45 part, but it's a few hours of labor. Someone once posted a tutorial on how to change it.

Forget the oh it's gotta be this or that. Find an indy with good diagnostics who in one minute can tell yo what has failed in your AC system----I know you just got laid off or the wife just left you and your broke and can't afford to fix the AC,only drive it, but with all the misinformation you are going to feel better but have spent more!!
