Air Induction "Q"

I've read people upgrading their W211 with twin K&Ns. Is there any air induction kits or possibly smooth tubes replacing the stock accordian air bridge (eventhough it probably won't gain much HP). Just wondering what's out there.......Thanks!

I have the K&N's and also the Thermo-Tedc heat shield under the airbox. I also cut away the cover over the entry to the air intake tubes just behind the bumper. Works real well for me with the chip and exhaust as a complete package. No problems with water into the intake as some had warned about. Real fast...here are a couple of previous posts with pics.

Thanks EPower....nice write up and pics to boot! Looks like its K&Ns and alittle dremmel action on the plastic piece and its good to go. Looks like that's what I will be doing once Spring hits. Good to hear no water injestion problem...don't want the car to hydrolock. BTW...reading the newspaper on your heatshield pic....is that Martha Steward on the bottom left...LOL..Just kidding! Thanks again!
