Retroft: 2003 Audio 20 single CD w/phone -> Comand NTG 2.5
Hi, i have the opportunity to get a relatively cheap Comand 2.5 (single DVD) from a 2009.
I have a 2003 with Audio 20 single CD, with the Nokia integrated phone.
Does anyone know exactly what I will be needing to get it connected with all functions working? After what i have managed to find, it should be a pretty easy job. Is it?

It's huge work to retrofit NTG2.5 on 2003 vehicle.
The 2003 audio20 is connect to AGW by fiber, AGW output the low level speaker signal to each speaker.
The NTG2.5 is buildin sound amplifier, so you need to reroute whole speaker wire to the location of NTG2.5, and your original AGW is unsless.
Then, you need to buy a adapter to connect the harness to NTG2.5
Here is the referance: https://www.commandonline.co.uk/W211...converter.html

Hi. Since i posted this thread i have researched a lot, and i have bought the NTG 2.5 unit.
In my described scenario, you are wrong. The Audio 20 single CD has built-in AGW just as the Comand 2.5, therefore it is an easy job retrofitting this particular scenario. I need 5 items:
audio20->NTG 2.5 harness adapter
GPS antenna
Bluetooth antenna
Microphone adapter cable
Radio antenna adapter
Though if you have other setups, with the AGW in the back, you are correct
I will report back when i have it done

Hi,
sorry that I haven't updated this thread, I am usually good at it because I hate when others don't comlete their story But everyone can forget once
Installation went very smooth. The biggest job was to draw the new mic cable from center console through the dash below instrument cluster, up the A-pillar and then under the roof lining to the center mirror console, removing the mirror, to disconnect the old cable and connect the new one. Other than that it was mostly plug and play and everything is still working very nice. Great upgrade, I especially love the bluetooth functionality, it works flawlessly.
The only thing I am not too happy about is the radio signal, that went from perfect to not so good but still usable. But I can live with that now that I have music from the SD-card
For my Audio 20/single CD/integrated phone setup -> Comand 2.5 this is what you need:
CABLE RETROFIT GPS MERCEDES W211 W219 AUDIO 20 COMAND NTG 2.5
( 361201538727 )
CABLE RETROFIT MICROFONO MERCEDES COMAND NTG2.5 W211
( 361228344682 )
BLUETOOTH ANTENNA RETROFIT MERCEDES COMAND NTG2.5
( 251859164317 )
ADAPTADOR ANTENA FAKRA MERCEDES COMAND NTG2.5 RETROFIT
( 251766118611 )
ANTENA GPS INTERIOR FAKRA AUDI MERCEDES VW SEAT
( 360635102212 )
I Bought every part from "worldwide-sounds" on eBay. I can recommend him, very good service. Total parts cost incl shipping was around $170. The Comand 2.5 i was lucky to get dirt cheap at $300 at a junkyard. Sold the old Audio 20 for $100.
Remember. If you have Audio 20 with cassette and CD changer, or Audio 50, or Harman Kardon sound, things will get more complicated, but I have no experience with that. It's just what I've read.

Thanks for the update, I've go the Audio 20 CD with 6 CD changer but no integrated phone so I'm expecting the upgrade to be a little easier.
