I run the Hankook Ventus V12 Evos on a different car (E500) frequently at speed (135) with no issues. The tire is speed rated Y and feels good so far (about 8k miles). I'd like to try the Dunlop Direzza Sport Z1 Star Spec for comparison. I don't agree that the sidewalls feel stiff, so I'd think your E550 would feel even less stiff. Maybe I am just timid, but I take the corners a bit slower than I probably would on PS2s or something.
