722.6 shifting seems slow, reset ECU?

I have experience with our old 2002 CLK320 /w 722.6.
I now have a 2008 E350 4matic /w 722.6...

It shifts fine no slipping, but in comparison to our CLK320, I feel that the shift points are higher in the rpm band with the same amount of throttle.

Is this the transmission adaptation from the prior owner?

The fluid was only replaced by dealer @ 39k and car has 104k so I will be doing the fluid this weekend with Shell 134 with a full 12qt flush.
Could it be a fluid deal, or is there a way to "reset" the transmission computer that may bring the shifting down with less of a "flare"
*(it doesn't feel like a flare though...just like its shifting 300rpm higher than I would expect from my foot)

This transmission kinda feels very lazy...I just don't remember the CLK320's transmission being this lazy hence I feel like its a fluid or ecu issue?
Any thoughts?

Thanks.

Could be just how it was programed hard to say but doing a flush and resetting the adaptations are a good step. Make sure when you do the fluid flush that you get the fluid back to the proper level as the 722.6 is very sensitive to fluid levels.

I don't have a way to check the fluid temperature...but I do have an IR thermometer gun. Is it close enough to check the pan temperature as the measurement?
You can't check the trans fluid temp with an OBDII device can you?

Yeah many use IR thermometers on the oil pan so as long as it is accurate you should be good. Make sure the car is level when you do that as even just a slight incline could mess it up.
I don't know on the 722.6 but on the 722.9 with star you can read the temperature but I don't think a normal scanner will do that.

I did the sneaky ECU reset yesterday. While most of those guys in that original thread are AMG drivers, I just have an E350, but still...what a difference!

Changed the fluid this weekend with a full 14L flush. Fluid was brown but clean and same with the pan and magnet. also did the above ecu reset.

It's shifting quicker but still higher shift point than I would expect.

Does the 722.6 have a way to adjust the shift point via the shifter linkage like on the 722.3?

My 300te Half Throttle Shifts At About 3k rpm this Seems to go at 3.4k rpm which just feels too high.

Well good to hear it wasn't crazy dirty!
Shift points are all electronically controlled so nope
3.4k rpms sounds fine to shift at I wouldn't worry about it.
