Transmission oil change
I went to transmission shop with my 2006 E350, and had the transmission oil drained and replaced; the total 303$. With the odometer reading 109000 it started not shift properly. into the shop it went, there is now a notable difference in the way it shifts. Happy I didn't wait any longer with symptoms becoming more frequent.
I'm thinking don't wait as long as I did. I will update in a week or two.

^+1 also which fluid did the shop use and how many quarts?
Was this the first trans service? I hope not as that is pushing your luck and not surprising that it started to act up from now on do 39k miles changes and since you had some issues if they didn't do a complete fluid change with filter (over 9-10 quarts would be needed) I would do the next service early.
Remember that old wives tale not to change your trans fluid because shortly after it will fail.... lol you're exactly the reason that this came around. Have trans issues so get fluid changed and then in a few k it fails and the fluid change gets blamed.
Keep us updated I hope that you caught it early enough and that everything will be okay did you get a fluid sample to get analyzed?

Update on tranny
This was my first oil change, since owning the car and I would agree I pushed my luck. The filter was replaced, I don't know how many quarts were changed out. Since the change we have had no further issues.
