Front end rebuild..

So my wife accidentally drove my baby into a ditch damaging the front fender and almost taking off the entire wheel. daer quoted me over 4,000 dollars in repairs so I'm deciding to tackle this project on my own. So fair the main damage I see is to the steering Knuckle, upper and lower control arm and the shock. My main question is from the photo does anyone else have any suggestions on where else I should look for damage and what else I should replace😁. Any suggestions would be awesome!!

How does the shock tower mount look? Any twisting or damage? Hood looks tweaked too

Wow did you mean to say soon to be ex wife?

lol well I would start by removing fender, wheel, all suspension components and inspecting each one for damage. Depending on miles on the car I would probably just replace all of it on both sides (control arms, bushings, ball joints ect) How fast was the impact?
I would also check the radiator and any other components around the damaged areas including any wiring that may be ruining near the fender for damage.

My suggestion is to call your insurance company and make a claim, pay deductible and have no future worries about the safety of the car. Glad your wife is ok. Your wife is most important.

That is more than $4000 worth of damage...Fender, door and paint would be $4000 alone at the dealer. Let alone the entire side of that suspension, possible rack & pinion toast, strut mount possibly cracked/bent...

I agree with get an insurance quote and pay the deductible, unseen damage not repaired isn't worth the hassle.

I bet the insurance co. would total it. As mentioned, this looks like way more than $4K to have it professionally fixed (likely more than the car is worth). You would need to be a very talented mechanic/body guy with all the right tools to fix this car.

I am curious as to how this turned out. The OP only posted once.
