2004 E320 W211
New User looking for COMAND update
Hello everyone.
I recently acquired my first benz (2004 E320 W211) and through this forum, have learned that I have very outdated COMAND firmware.
I still have 1 car in the SERV menu.
I am wanting the MP3 & Video in Motion functionality I am hearing about.
Can you guys help point me to the files for the 46/2006 update?
(I believe that is right - I have 32/2003 installed)
I have gotten in to Engineering Mode and the secret menu - just need the update!

What he's saying is that you can't have video in motion in U.S. Comand.

Thanks for the link, but yes, I had already searched and read dozens of threads, most of which are ancient and have links that no longer work...including that one.
BTW, what exactly was I supposed to get out of post #32?
I stated that I am already in Eng Mode and the secret menu.

, that ********* looks perfect.2 - I am going to check with my local dealer but others on this forum have stated that those discs are no longer available from the dealers.
Luckily, I am close enough to MackHack and am going to meet him for the update.

What you get out of post 32 is the exact search term for the update. Re read it again.
Btw, the reason all the previous links are dead (and why no one is providing new ones) is because it is against forum rules to share copyrighted material either in the forum or via pm. Plus, MB is cracking down on it hard.

lastly, I was stating that the U.S. Comand does not support VIM. Adding the module is another story , as with many add ons.

I am very confused about "post #32". I see no link at all. Just this comment about Eng mode which is why I made my comment.
"Does anyone know the new Engineering Mode access keys to enter into engineering mode?"
What am I missing/doing wrong?

Because I had already seen that and tried many sites for that file and still came up empty.
I also looked briefly into torrent sites, some of which do seem to have that file, but those are pretty sketchy in my opinion.

Still would be nice to have a site with the various versions available and descriptions as to what features were added/fixed in each.
Meeting with MackHack this weekend so maybe I will be able to help with that!
