Need a advice on my W211 Blower motor

Hi every one, i purchased a w211 2003 e500, my A/C / Heater fan suddenly stopped working. The problem is that i removed the blower and tested it and its resistor and it works fine. there is also power going to the blower as well but it seems that its not switching on at all. " Possibly a disconnected ground".

I installed a new command unit in my my car a couple of months ago and i am going through everything behind the command unit but there is not a lot of wires back there but i must of unplugged something in the process. (it gets pretty cold here in Canada and time to get the fan working -45 C is -49 F. that' s without the windchill.

What i am trying to figure out is if there is a possible relay for the blower motor and its location. possibly can have a bad relay that is not turning on or clicking as they say.

You should have a fuse guide in the cabin fuse box and it should tell you about how the hvac fan is powered.

Still frustrated

the Command install may not be relevant as i noticed it a month later from installing it. the blower is not working.

So far what i noticed is that there is power going to the blower 1 being 19 Volts on a pin and the other pin being 13 volts on the female connector that connects into the blower motor. the strange thing is that its not turning the fan on, i tested the fan by battery and it works fine. I also put put power through the regulator and its fine. just when its all connected and installed it just does not work.

I can turn the fan speed up or down from the heater / AC control and it just does not turn on the fan.

Some forum members had tried to convert their analog climate control unit to the digital unit like that of an '07, but it did not work due to the newer units needing to be version coded, so possibly that's what you need. But you also could have a bad regulator, the electronic unit that sits on top of the fan blower unit.

My 03 had digital and so did the 07, both regulators were tested and both blowers were tested and was fine. i just noticed something last night that there is power coming into the regulator which i already knew, but there is no ground (possibly bad wire), im going to check the ground on it when i get home from work. il just run a ground from somewhere as i was testing it with my light tester and using the body ground the whole time.
