MBUSA Seeks Photos
Is it me, or do things seem to be slowing down here on the forum? This tells me two things; MBUSA has resolved most if not all issues to the satisfaction of ‘03 owners and all initial problems have been corrected for the ’04s. Indeed a good thing. Now then, MBUSA is inviting its owners to submit a photo of themselves with their Benz. My guess, they want to put a face to the email, letter, or fax received. But seriously folks, an ingenuous marketing move to counter the negative publicity that has plagued them. Michelle my dear, you have earned your bonus this year – good job! As for me, I can be bought with one of those $3250 coupons (without expiration) that were going around last year and then I’ll consider posting a picture. My memory is not quite as short as Michelle’s. I am happy with my Benz just not happy in having to take it back for repairs and updates so often.

It seems that many of the initial complaints about the W211 have been with the "new" high tech features like Keyless Go, Active headlights, Airmatic suspension, etc. These options are new and seem to have bugs that you wouldn't expect to see in a Mercedes but they are there. I hope that these and other bugs and "no charge features" have been identified and resolved by Mercedes. I would rather have a slightly duller forum than to hear the compliants of owners about poor engineering or quality control.
