17" Wheels to 18" Wheels

I want to by a set of 18" wheels for my 2005 E500 4Matic. I currently have the 17" OEM's on it. Will this work on my vehicle? Thanks for any input...

I have our wagon on 18" Lorinsers.

Nice, what year is that, and do you have the air suspension?

You should be able to fit up to 19" without any problem. Width and offset is more of a concern.

All wagons have rear bags.
I put 235 wide tires becouse they were much cheaper than 245 if that matters.
18x9 Lorinsers are direct fit, only had to buy custom bolts.
Those are pretty old monoblocks that I think were popular on S years ago.

That's good to know. The rims I want to buy have an offset of 43 and the rims I have on now are ET58....????? I hope they work.

Stock E class wheels tend to have an offset of 37 or 38 ish, not sure where you got 58 from.

I don't think 58's would even fit unless they're really skinny rims. They'd rub on the suspension and the wheel wells.

Right. Would have to read the wheels again, but I recall offset in 30's
Bigger offset would require spacers.
I have been always avoiding spacers as I always did find direct fit wheels, but some owners don't mind the additional headache for the looks.

I bought the 17" wheels with the ET58's off of craigslist a few years ago and they fit with no problems, until my son then my daughter hits potholes and cracked two rims. This is why I'm searching for new rims. I have a neighbor who is selling 4 good rims off of a S550 but the offset is 43 and my lug bolts are two short as well. He only want's $400 for 4 good rims but I would have to buy longer lug bolts. The last time I bought lug bolts off of e-bay they sent me the wrong ones and I had already mounted the wheels without realizing this and I could not swap them.....my loss

Yo! Sometimes we see things for a good deal, but in the long run we pay down the line. $400.00 seems be be a steal, but S class rims not so sure. Do a bit more research before you decide to purchase.
