Need some help
But here is where it gets me.... Under hard acceleration, the car vibrates like hell (definitely didn't like it) now I am at the gas station and for whatever reason I wind the window down and I put the car in reverse and you hear a clunk... Not a super loud clunk but loud enough and it happens also when I put the car in drive
Now I am parking my car and I heard a pop (once again not loud)
To me I think it's the axle but I just I just want to make sure.
I am going to find out 100% tomorrow what it is, but as of right now it is eating at me
Notice any spots in your driveway lately?
EDIT: Could also be a transmission mount? Someone else can surely chime in on this. I've not owned my car long enough to experience a bad one, but apparently mine ate them for fun before I owned it. Maintenance records show that the dealership replaced it three different times before the car hit 70k miles. Luckily that's an easy fix.

Don't drive with bad one at all.
A member tried and when the joint snapped - it triggered side airbags.

Front driveshaft is the culprit .... Just wondering as a temporary fix .... Can I safely drive without the front driveshaft for a few days (like until the weekend)

From what I remember new front DS comes with nice 4-digits price.
Did you call your local rebuild shops? Sometimes ebay has used.

4 digits bro. 4 digits.

part number 220-410-71-06, assuming you have early chasis code.
you can buy a new shaft and new "u" joint for under 4 digits bro. Chill with the false info. It isn't kind...

Most of your links indicate 4-digits list price.
Sure you can buy it cheaper at internet dealer, you can buy it higher at local stealer, you can buy cheap Dorman, or just wire the thing.
But what all the trolling is about?
Than you link rear uj when front is needed.

What dealer in Mid-Atlantic gave you $770 quote?
And why are you turning the thread from helping into trolling in the first place?
the first one, 760$ from south atlanta mb
#2 ebay 400$
3# ebay 760$
#4 fcp euro 326$
Not to troll, but unless my computer has a automated discount feature on it, none of these are near 1000$.

post #746 #747. Pretty sure the stealership just marks the shaft up 1500% or something absurd like that. Just like ball joints, engine mounts, ect. OP, i'd go with the fcp Euro one. either way, if your first shaft made it this long, i'm sure the next one will hold up just as well.

I just gave them a call and they can have new DS in 2 days for $1000 plus tax.
I hope you only play idiot.
