2007 E63 whistle noise in engine

I have a 2007 E63 and when I shut the engine off after driving getting a whistle noise for a few seconds. Secondary air value relay/valve ??????

My experience with the M156 "whistle" noise is the diaphragm on the back of the intake manifold. If in fact that is the root cause, replace intake manifold. Don't think you can get the diaphragm separately.

Like plutoe said though, open the hood!

I think it is faulty PCV Valve and hose.

Yep. Happened to me. If the OP is inclined to take on this job as a DIY, it is much more accessible if you pull the intake manifold. The manifold gaskets are known to leak. So, replacing them might be a good idea anyway. The intake manifold bolts are a one time use item. Only parts needed will be the PCV valve, intake gaskets and intake bolts. I don't recall the torque specs but they are available in the w211 AMG forum with a search. Pretty straight forward job really.

2007 E63 AMG

This thread caught my eye

My apologies for resurrecting an older thread, but I am hearing a whistle noise from my '07 E63 motor after running a few minutes. it doesn't fall into the PCV category from the research I've done so far. Here is the video of what I'm encountering. It starts at about 10 secs after something apparently engages and causes a slight difference in the motor sound.

Any help would be appreciated

I know this is in response to an old post.

Had mine do the same thing and it was the PCV valve. It took my friend that's worked at an indy for 20 years about 30 minutes to swap out in our garage.
