2004 E500 alarm issue
I have a 2004 E500 and the alarm will randomly go off. I can open the car with the key fob and the alarm will go off. Can start the car and will be sounding while the car is running. recently replaced the battery, went out the next morning, dome lights were on and battery was dead. Everything seems to be related to the alarm. I have read suggestions about replacing either the module or the siren itself. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you Plutoe. Is there an easy check for the switches and SAM? I've put the car in drive and opened different doors, hood and deck lid, but have never gotten any kind of warning. I did have the car converted to the Arnott strut and coil suspension to avoid any further air suspension issue. The system came with the electronic bypass and I had it installed by a MB professional mechanic. Could this problem be in any way associated with that switch?

plutoe is correct, Check fuse for alarm siren, if okay you probably have another issue. Quick test is your best bet. Everything else is speculation. IF it isn't your siren itself, I'd be looking in to your rear sam circuit because that doo whickey controls/manages alot of different things.
