Help with keyless go....Please!

Hi guys. Im having a problem with my key fob/ keyless go on my 2004 e55.
The unlock, lock and trunk buttons work on my key fob but when i grab the door handle the door doesn't unlock by itself, and its on all 4 doors (ruled out bad door handle unless all 4 handles went bad at the same time)
when i hit push to start button i get a message key not recognized, when i insert the key and turn ignition it starts right up. Also when i turn car off and exit, message don't leave key flashes.
I changed key battery and checked the keyless go fuse f 024 trying to avoid a trip to the stealership!

After handle (most common culprit) next operation is control module w/antenna (5). I attached operation overview it seems door handle switch is not activating (key recognition), best bet to diagnose problem is to have someone pull codes with DAS.

Additionally, check this "Sticky" : https://mbworld.org/forums/e-class-w...re-broken.html

I had exactly the same symptoms. Checking for the broken wire only takes a couple of min.

So broken keyless go wire stops door handles from working?

Good reason for me asking that.......

I realized that I actually had 2 issues. First was that the KG start didn't work and that was a result of the broken wire.

Second was all the door handles and the trunk not working after I disconnected the main battery for a short while. Another member had posted that he had the problem surface after a battery disconnect. He took it to the dealer to run a Das/Xentry (formerly Star) Quick test, which it passed. Then, after the test all KG handle functions starting working again.

I went to the dealer and had them run the test and, lo and behold, all the handles starting working again. No rhyme or reason to this, but go figure.

Getting the battery disconnected seems to cause all sorts of weird problems. I think it's called normalizing the system. I think you open and close all the windows, holding the button down a few extra seconds, open and close the sunroof and turn the steering wheel lock to lock. My power trunk stopped working not too long after the battery died once and after doing that, it started working again.

Did you resolve this issue?

Mine has the same problem

Keyless locking and unlocking on ALL doors does not work, DAS does not receive any signal from left or right keyless antennae, started with the left side then right hand side stopped.

locks fine using the trunk button and keyless go works fine also.

I have tried swapping the left antennae unit but this does not fix it. I am thinking its the wiring next, but on the door hinge?

any ideas appreciated
