W211 2009 wheel knocked back 1 1/4" in low impact collision
Has this shop ever worked on a Mercedes or similar suspension setup before?
Something is obviously bent and if they can't find it I would look around for a good indy to figure out what got damaged if it is really not the sub frame mounts.
Since that side has been though such a hard impact I would replace everything (which means doing the other side as well unless they have recently been done) and if the rear tire hit it I would have it checked as well.

That does not account for if the steering knuckle/spindle is what is causing the issue which it could be. Would also want to have the steering rack checked out as well as wheel bearings.
But until you know whats actually bent I wouldn't throw parts at it.
If you want to take a look check this out http://www.rmeuropean.com/Make/Merce...?catalogID=016
Also this is the steering knuckle if you don't know what it is http://www.rmeuropean.com/Products/2...G22-V4625.aspx
They silver part is what the wheel bearings ride on and it could possibly get bent in extreme cases.
