Comand navigation map freeze / block
I have a problem with navigation / map. When i zoom in (scale 200m, 100m) map freeze, it stop move/rotate. I have to lock/unlock car to start working again. If zoom/scale is bigeer than 500m map is ok. When map freezed, dashboard info for navigation is continiue working, only comand map stop. Other functions of comand are fine(audio, video).
Any idea?

Have you checked the navigation DVD for smudges/scratches?
Last time I had my E350 in for service the nav was acting odd after it was returned.
Ejected my 'backup' nav DVD and found it covered with greasy fingerprints...

Old topic but any updates? My SLK does exactly the same. It's not the map-DVD because same problem with original 2004 DVD and same thing with 2016 "backup" DVD from Ebay.

i fixed the problem. I opened the dvd housing and cleaned the lens with a cotton earpick. 5 min job. Then i put it back and guess what. The maps updated in command to latest version and them i had a fix.

Could you Maroc please tell more detailed how did you get into the laser lens? I removed top cover but was afraid of remove more fragile parts of the DVD deck. I managed get the soft-top-stick into something I believe lens or similar. Then I gave little bit pressurezed air. Didn't work. Still got jammed & rebooted when scaleing up. Good thing is that it still works like it was. Nothing more broken.
