Recently i purchased a w211 e320 Benz Avantgard model 2003. I changed the head unit (it was a Japanese unit) with a new modern after sales one. Everything was OK but the sound quality was not good. So, I purchased the fiber optic converter to use the original MOST audio gateway. I installed it successfully and the sound quality was restored to the original quality.
I strange phenomena then started. If the car is locked by the remote for some time (around 15minutes), the remote is not working and I have to open the car using the mechanical key. Of course in this case the anti theft is activated but it will be reset as soon as I put the remote in the ignition. Then the remote will be active again. If i try to close and open using the remote, it is working fine. Only if I lock the car for long period the remote becomes inactive again.
Please help to sort out this strange phenomena.
