New full-coverage custom Floor Mat options
I've been spending some time looking through AliExpress for items for our W211s. One thing that caught my is a slough of affordable and decent looking floor mat options.
Here's a search query: https://www.aliexpress.com/wholesale...nktest=0&tc=af
Prices are $100-200 shipped and multiple color and style options are available. They all seem to be leather-like vinyl with padded foam cores and grippers on bottom.
Yes, they are from China, but reviews are decent. I might try a set out soon. Let us know if anyone else bites the bullet.
Some example images to stoke your imagination. (these are just examples, not W211s pictured)
I'm not affiliated with these in any way and I'm not endorsing them. I just want to inform you guys of their availability.

The only thing that holds me down is knowing how they do the custom fit.. I know WeatherTech laser-measure the car to make their mats. My fear is that this will not be 100% exact fit or build quality.

Was Googling around found a couple places that have more pics if you go to youtube and search Autopreme mats or Leather Floor Mats you will get a couple videos.
There is also a website with more pictures here
https://floormats.dreamcarz1.org/collections/ they are all around $200 USD but more pictures.
Really would like a comparison vs my Weathertech

I don't own a w211 but I will see if I can get some photos (freezing outside) along with the ones of the "Chinese" type.

Ok first off I want to apologize for my horrible photos. Here is link to album:

Fitment is really good and they really up the interior. In fact I believe this is the number one thing you can do to make your interior look better. These floor liners are amazing. I have no regrets.
I will go through my old stuff and see if I can find the chinese comparison photos. Also Autopreme made a video of theirs vs the chinese on youtube; very similar comparison.
Edit: Here are a few pics o the china stuff: http://imgur.com/a/1yOYi
You can see the Chinese ones are thinner and the seams are single strands...and look messed up...

W222 Autopreme Mats
I've had the Autopreme mats someone mentioned in my S550 for a while now and I'm overall very pleased.
I ordered them through a Touch of Modern sale, but I was hesitant about fit issues, especially with manufacturing in China. I contacted them directly they said that they are based in Los Angeles and they laser measure everything.
From what I can tell, my mats look like they are made with much better materials and offered me more customization options than the others in the thread. Autopreme's pricing is a bit higher but I would say its worth it. After all...the best or nothing

The black ones don't look bad. But the entire design seems off. It just doesn't flow right. Especially the picture of the Beige ones. They look like something from a bad 70's interior movie set. If the pattern is that on the seats and rest of the interior then it doesn't look bad, but most of the older MB's don't have that pattern or stitching and it just seems ugly to me. They are made in China which sucks and the price that they are asking is too much. I remember some dude was trying to get people to go in on his launch for his floor mats and was charging something like $400 for the same ones you could get from China for less than half that.
cbortolon:
Did you register today just to post about the mats? Seems odd to me that you are promoting a product as your first post. But who knows?
