The ones you bought are the old style, ones that I send you are the new updated style and claims that are compatible 2003-2009.. before buying send them a message with your vin so they can recheck for you

I believe there's the models without hids, with hids, and afs.
The right ones
This are pricey, see the description where they state the difference, check your ballast before ordering.
I checked again the ones that I sent you and they are 2007-09 models, but they claim otherwise.
Here's a retrofit that explains the difference.

Thank you for letting me know your concern, i have checked on your VIN ############### that your have the 2005 Mercedes Benz E500 AMG Sport package, this is the top of the line model, and the headlights for this AMG package uses the factory HID type headlights not the halogen type headlights. Were you able to get the wiring connected? Please confirm. Thank you////////////////////////////so now since i got the wrong lights need to get another set trying to see if i can return will see what they going to say no big deal 200 out the pocket but can someone will tell me what to look for like part number so i dont do same mistake twice thanks ,Zack
There's no way to make the others work because you need the other connector to give juice to the hids, i'll be a mess just trying. Return them if you can and buy yhe right ones, the one I posted is 2 for one because you not only get the riight ones but you get the updated version ones.

Good afternoon,
Thanks for your follow up message and photo confirmation that you do have Factory Xenon and that you may have AFS from stock.
Just to be 100% sure, may I kindly ask if you can un-install the Control Module (not Ballast) to check the pins to see which one you have?

If you have the Control Module "B" - then the lights you've purchased should be able to accept all of your transferred HID components. However, if you have Control Module "C" - then you have AFS from stock, which you would need to purchase a pair of OEM control Module "B" and code out the AFS function from your vehicle.
May I kindly ask if you can help confirm with me once more? Thanks again for your support!
Warmest Regards,
Christian ///////////////////////// so i did have old module so i did buy corect module x 2 what he was saying i do have c module and i need to get b module for my lights to work ,now he saying that i have to code out the AFS function from my vehicle. ?????? someone please expl this to me what and how to code out thanks
from my understanding the non-hid version, the one you bought first don't use ballast underneath, the hid version, the one that I send you uses 2 ballast, and the AFS version use a different B ballast.
check the pins on the ballast of the one you removed from your car and post the pic here.

this module will not work if u check the link here posted i need different one B one
my old lights
3pin and 4 pin same as my new order lights
I was looking for AFS headlights and they are over $650 a piece and the old style, not with the 3 horizontal lines on top. So I guess as the description says if you buy two B modules the would work. It'll be interesting to see if the dash trows an error as the AFS will not be available, please post result when you get the modules and install.

I kept my old taillights because I expected trouble.
They have been absolutely trouble free, far better than when I was trying to put LED bulbs in.
So the guy sells good stuff.
mine is avantgarde which came with leds. I want to buy the 2007 led version but don't know if it'll work, in debating on wether buying one used oem side first or a non oem duo... concern is if it'll work.
