Looking to lease 2004 e320............
Hey all, I am new to this forum my name is Mike.
I am ready to lease a new e320 as soon as possible. I just went to the nearest mercedes dealer and wasn't to happy with the quote I got. I am going to need a lot of help in getting the right price. I will need all the help I can get.
If anyone has time to share their opinions of their e320 (W211), I would gladly appreciate it. I would like to know the "goods: and the "bads".
Thank you all
Mike

Id love to help out a fellow new york mets fan (i see you live in Flushing).
I have an e500 so I dont know if I can help out too much though.
What is it you want to know?
Lease help or about the car in general?

I wanted to know the average lease rate with no money down and include the tax on the lease.
I also would love to know if the car has any problems and how much people like and appreciate their e320.
thanx

glad to help a fellow Kim.
What did they quote you?
good way to figure out if their quote is fair is to find a couple of things.
if they quoted you about $800 w/o tax, for a 36 month lease that is probably about as good as you'll find, unless the dealer or mercedes is subsidizing E-320 leases.
i put up a post on here under the "can i get out of a bad lease" section. has an explanation of the lease process.
What you need to focus on is getting the lowest money factor you can. (im' guessing .0018 is about as low as you can go with out a subsidy and 700+ credit.
Next, stop worrying about what people are paying on the lease. It is a set formula based on your inputs. Find out what people are paying on the car, lease or buy, doesn't matter. Negotiate it like you are trying to buy it. Then when you are ready to figure out the finaning tell them you want to lease for whatever term.
People approach leases the wrong way by trying to start with the payment. The payment is figured out by a set formula. The only things you can control is the starting price of the car, and make sure they don't pad your money factor.
Dealers will soemtimes feed you a load of cr@p about not being able to negotiate the car price on a lease. it's all cr@p. If you lease a car, you are still effectively buying it from the dealer. They way you are borrowing the money to do it is different.
PM if you want any specifics.

I don't lease but a salesman in Arizona just hinted that I could buy a 2004 E320 for about $200 over Invoice. I haven't got down to the nitty gritty but the previous advice is correct. Never talk trade-in, never talk interest rates. Start out as if you were going to pay cash for the car with no trade-in. Once you know the true cost of the car, you can then find out what it would cost to borrow/lease and the true value of any trade-in.
The overwhelming costs of car ownership are depreciation and the cost of money. The rest of it's peanuts.

I just bought a 2004 E320, new, for $3000 BELLOW invoice.
Most people I know got their W211 for at least $1K under invoice.
Mine came loaded w/ GPS, Premium package, typical option (leather & massage seats, sunroof, wood & leather steering). MSRP was $57.3K, we paid $50K.

I didn't know you could get a leather/wood steering wheel on an E320. It doesn't show up in the options list.
Does your deal also include license and taxes?
It may be worth my while to come over to the LA area for a new car.

We got our 2004 Mercedes-Benz E320 from Ray Catena in Edison, NJ off Route 1 North. WIth only $1900 down, we got our E320 with Premium Pkg and others mentioned in the sig for $735/month for 39 months with 15,000K with a residual of about 60%. Our sticker was 54K but we got it for 52K, rounding off of course
We were at the salesman's desks and the GM's desks back and forth for about 2 hours straight and we walked out of the dealership about 3 times and then they dragged us back in. ALso in the deal was a full payoff of a 2002 Acura RSX wth about $200 extra in my pocket..

We got:
* Premium Package (shade, premium sounds, GPS...)
* Wood & leather steering wheel
* Comfort Package
* Mettalic paint charge
I don't have sticker here, so can't remmember on top of my head. If you're interest, I can scan it or post it for you.
There's a lot of room to bargain for the E320, room to bargain for the E500, and no room to bargain for the E55
$50K is for the car only. We paid a little more than $56K after tax and fee

How can you have the Comfort and the Premium? The Comfort is included in the Premium. If you got the Premium, Wood/Leather wheel and metallic, then the MSPR would be $55,095. By the way that includes full leather interior, but there must be something missing if you said the MSRP was $57.3k. Let us know!!! :p
