Some questions about AVIAN's Android 511 (a piece of crap audio unit)
Continuing my bad experience with AVIAN (you can read " https://mbworld.org/forums/audio-electronics/637530-w211-2011-need-help-faulty-avant-2-radio.html#post7218284") I ended up with some junky AVIAN's radio called "Android 511".
AVIAN don't have any user manual or any other documentation about what they sent me (after what I have been trough with them I'm not surprised anymore...) and after installing the unit I have some problem and no one in AVIAN to answer me. if anyone have used the "Android 511" (see https://avinusa.com/mercedes-benz-e-...w211-w219.html) or other chip Chinese radios names "Android 6.0 For Mercedes W211" (see https://www.aliexpress.com/wholesale...dio&isOnSale=n) i would be grateful.
-Is it possible to connect the radio to the internet using standard cellular telephone with BT/Wi-Fi?
-What is the application for playing CD? (currently i eject/reinsert the CD when i want to listen to music)
-Is there a way for using Mirror Link?
-How to download the phone book from the phone to the radio?

Sorry to hear your frustration. There's a saying is you get what you pay for. Surprisedly they don't have a PDF download manual how to operate? Usually site will have it, but sound like it's inferior products, I was checking out their site the link you provided..

Exactly my point...
I've all ready paid 500$ for a "premium" radio that didn't works well and they replaced it with this junk. (See my previews thread)
Anyway, they don't have PDF/support/User manual of any kind (see the link to AVIAN) and it seems to me theirs "Android 511" is actually a cheap Chinese junk with a fancy label.
I'll be grateful for any information how to work this crap because AVIAN themselves stopped responding my mail.
Currently i used it as an FM radio and that's all...
-I can't use WAZE because i can't connect to the internet with my cell phone.
-I can't use any other application that need internet.
-I can't use the CD because I can't find the application.
-I can't use the phone because I can't load my connects to the radio

After playing with the radio I finely discover that selecting the "DVD" application enter enter CD playing mode (Hello, AVIAN. was it so hard to add a singe A4 sheet explaining?). The application feel very primitive, all you can do is: Enter/Exit folder, play/stop, forward and backward. I couldn't find a way to display the tracks names (and when you have 50+ folders and sub folders its a must)
Is there a generic CD player application i can use instead of that dumb application?

Setting Wi-Fi Hot Spot on the phone solve the problem.
My problem with AVIAN CD is that no other android program can access the CD, changing the default won't help...

You can try a ROM update to see if that solves your issue. Do a Google search for the Malaysk ROM and find one compatible with your chipset. Alternatively would be to have the merchant swap the unit for one with working software.

I'm not sure what radio I was given, the Chinese don't answer my mails (you can read " https://mbworld.org/forums/audio-electronics/637530-w211-2011-need-help-faulty-avant-2-radio.html#post7218284"). More than that, i was confuse when i start solving the problems because according they clam its an Android 6 radio (https://avinusa.com/mercedes-benz-e-...w211-w219.html) but its actually Android 5.1.1.
It does make sense a new firmware will solve some of the problems but where can i find it? beside, i don't know if the radio is root.
I've never heard about the Malaysk ROM, could you point me to see if it fit my radio?
By the way, does any one know what the 'AVIAN' button do? when i press it it ask for password...

Thanks, but I'm not familiar with ANDROID
How can I verify i have correct HW for the update? Its 5.1.1 update, not 6 like i hoped...
