8.5Jx18ET35 wheels with 245/40R18 tires on E320 Wagon?
Thinking of upgrading the wheels and tires on my wife's E320 wagon and I'm wondering if 8.5Jx18ET35 wheels with 245/40R18 tires on all 4 corners will fit. I'm pretty sure the rears will be OK, but I don't know about the fronts.
On a related note, anybody know what are the widest front and rear tires this car can handle with no rubbing and no modifications, and what front/rear wheel offsets are necessary for the max widths? I have a couple of European Mercedes wheel catalogs at home, so I can probably go through the various approved wheels/tire sizes and come up with the "safe" widths and offsets, but maybe somebody already knows the max numbers.

OK, so I checked out my Mercedes wheel catalogs, entered all of the approved wheel/tire combinations into a spreadsheet and came up with the following.
Max front tire width is 245 with a wheel offset between 30mm and 38mm.
Max rear tire width is 275 with a wheel offset between 31mm and 34mm.
This doesn't mean wider tires won't fit or other offsets won't work, but these should be guaranteed to fit with no rubbing since they fit dimensionally within Mercedes recommended wheel/tire combinations.
If anybody has fit wider tires with no mods and no rubbing, please post your results.

Brian, do you have pics of your W211?
BTW, nothing beats the R170 forum on the other site. We will probably get more reaction on the W211 AMG site but... they're AMGs.

Hey Arnee,
The only pic I have posted is at the following link.
http://www.benzworld.org/forums/foru...id=18#M1190164
It's my father-in-law picking up the car in Sindelfingen.
BTW, these are the wheels I was thinking about getting
They're double fakes. The're fake AMGs and they're fake multipiece. I would love to get the real AMG multipiece Styling IV rims, but they're about 6 times more expensive and my wife would just end up curbing them anyway.
Unfortunately, I e-mailed the place a couple times to ask questions about the rims and didn't really like their responses. They tell me the wheels are made in Taiwan, but refuse to tell me the manufacturer's name.

Those are nice. I understand about getting fakes than the real thing, especially when "we" are not driving the car.
I want to get wheels for our E320 but am afraid of the worse...![Smilie](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
Search for a company called Moven. I believe they make those replicas.
Ace wheels now also offer Brabus replicas, though I'm not sure if Brabus had already put a stop to it.
I like the Brabus Mono VI replica or those Styling IV multipiece replicas.
The wheels you're looking at, are they 18"?

Thanks Arnee, looks like those are Moven M9 rims. The M9s must be new because I didn't get many hits when I did a search.
Yes, they are 18". As far as I can tell, this particular style is available only in 8.5x18ET35. I wish there was either a 7.5x18 or a 9.5x18 version.

I have imported and Customs Clearance replica rims from Taiwan for a Chicago vendor. I have also seen them in person last week and if they are from the same supplier in Taiwan they are very good quality.

2016 E400 4-Matic Coupe, 2002 Chev 2500 HD Crew, 1983 Porsche 911SC,
I purchased the ASA ST4 rims in 19", similar to the picture you posted. They are 8.5" wide with the 245/35/19 tire. They clear just fine. The wheel quality is very good and of course, TR is a very well respected and trusted supplier. Wouldn't have gone through anybody else. Too many shady suppliers out there. Oh, and except for not having AMG stamped in the wheel, even the dealer thought they were real! GL
