As Konigstiger mentioned, it's just an extended warranty. Do not contact your dealer as there's no recall. It's basically a 15 year extended warranty for non Pzev W211 cars with unlimited miles. Pzev already had a 15/150k warranty on the tank so it's worse if you're a Pzev with over 150k. On a 2004, coverage probably expires sometime in 2018 or 2019 depending on the in service date of the car which you can either get from the VMI at a dealer or the carfax. I would fill up the gas tank and sniff around the back seat to make sure you don't smell gasoline. I'd double check again just before your 15 years is up.

I am a 2008 PZEV. I have already paid an Indy $3200 for fuel pump and tank which I would like to get reimbursed. I was told to take the work order down to my local MB dealer and see if I can get it reimbursed.

Have you seen pictures of what the tank looks like under the rear seats? I would like to see what it looks like. Since no one has left any pictures or vin numbers you are only going by what the mb crooks are telling you.
