Your profile shows a W212 diesel engine but you are asking about a W211 E500 petrol engine. Just give us the photo of the VIN. SBC was not included on any MB cars after the 2006 model year.
And what is with the "AMG" diesel?

The VIN above is the correct one, and now I have a W211 E500 Saloon from 2003
Thanks

The W211.070 does show up under the W211 section for an E500.
From there go to section 42 (Brakes).
https://nemigaparts.com/cat_spares/e...211070/64u/42/
Then to subsection 064 "Hydraulic Unit".
https://nemigaparts.com/cat_spares/e...70/64u/42/064/
Your car is "--> Code 806". Model years 2003 to 2006. "Code 807 -->" is model years 2007 and later.
Here is where it can get confusing...the part number on the SBC is separated differently than the parts catalog. i.e. My SBC (in a model 211.076) is stamped A 005 431 81 12; in the parts catalog it is A 00 543 181 12. It is listed as "Hydraulic Unit" while the previous version is listed as "Hydropneumatic Unit". What is strange is I cannot locate your posted part number in either the 211.070 section or the 211.076 section. My SBC part number I just posted, however, is listed in both the .070 and the .076 sections. Even the 211.072 Japanese market E500 version uses the A 005 part number I listed.
In this case, if the part number provided by you (A0044316912) is correct this sounds like a time to contact a dealer parts department. It is not in the online parts catalog linked above.
An online DuckDuckGo search brings up several leads. The first one is:
https://www.eps-elektronik.com/merce...6912-Q2_en.php
This link does bring up five associated part numbers.
They are located in Langelsheim, Germany which is a long way from where I used to live (Trippstadt) and even further from Texas.

Good luck to you.

Well, my car was ordered in Germany and imported to UK.It seems that the SBC pump I have as a replacement is a big unknown. Do you think it's worth trying to install it and see if it will work with my car, or should I not take the risk?

i won't express if you have to try but i think it depends on errors too. If the old unit has good electronics and "new" unit has good hydraulics i'm pretty sure you can swap parts (at your own risk) and also on youtube there are videos about refurbishment (substitution of pressure accumulator and motor brushes). Remember that even if you have good sbc the installation and bubble removal process is important too for good operation (you need proper diagnosis equipment).
Hope that helps, best regards
