Need to replace front struts

2006 E350 with 110K - snapped the front spring coil. Planning to replace both side with new struts. Question should I go with OEM or a different type?
I just drive normal and thought it drove fine as original. Didn't feel too boaty/floaty.
Where's the best place to order new parts - have a line on OEM on Ebay place for $375
Thanks in advance for you assistance

what do you mean by snapping the front coils?

make sure you replace the strut mount at the same time

Where are you located that your spring snapped? I am guessing you are located in a cold climate.

Coil around the strut = Over Coil ? It just snapped at low speed and not very cold. I don't remember hitting a bump or anything. It was Spring time and I had just replaced my rear axle on the driver side. Then later noticed the passenger side was really low. I'm at the Ohio/Michigan border and there are a lot of pot holes.
I was really busy this summer and have another car so I am just getting to this.

I bought the car in Kalamazoo Michigan - where it's cold but not too bad 2006 thru 2013 then drove it to Phoenix AZ and lived there until 2015; transported to Charlotte NC and drove it to Toledo Ohio 2016 Spring and here now.

I was thinking of road salt and chemicals eating the springs. Normally you hear these stories from those in the harsher winter climates.

Here's a better picture plus the bolt broke too easy - first attempt after wd40 and with a short handle.
now concerned about the level of corrosion.
