New to board, just picked up 04 E500!
Hey guys, I picked up an 04 E500 Granite/Charcoal Premium and appearance packages. I Love the car. Hope to learn a lot from you guys. I got the car for 59k. Good deal?

$57K! Damn... I must have got totally screwed... I paid $1200 over invoice ($58,808) a week ago (E500 w/Premium and Appearance). Oh well... love the car though, can't wait to get beyond the break-in period.
On a side note, I was surprised to get 27.8 mpg this past weekend on a 3hr freeway trip (mostly at speed limit). Guess the 7 Speed must be doing something right.

I'm in CT and can't seem to get my dealer to do better that $500 over invoice. He quoted me $61,500 on an E500 4Matic with an MSRP of $64,875 and was equiped with lighting, heated, sunroof and entertainment. Should I be able to do better than this?? He was $943 with $2,300 drive off for 39mos with 15K miles.

For a car called granite grey, it has a lot of blue. Im sure they could've came up with a more appropriate name for the color. Other than the name, the color is beautiful. Ive gotten a lot of compliments on the color of the car already, and its only been 2 days of ownership. Granite grey makes my Sterling grey BMW look dirty when they are parked next to each other.
Im in LA county btw.

You got for $59k? Interpol got for $58k? That's pretty good I think.
I ever tried to negotiate to $57k, but the dealer won't let me have it.

Granite Grey is closer to Platinum Blue than any other Mercedes color. If you saw it on a car parked in the sunlight you would be hard pressed to distinguish between Platinum Blue and Granite Grey. However, in different lighting conditions it changes hues and can even look like a dark shade of teal. Dealers now have the 8 x 10 inch paint samples but make sure you look at the sample both inside and outside in the sun. As you rotate the sample it catches the light and takes on different hues - especially where there is artificial lighting.

BTW, did you sell the wagon with all those goodies? I should've bought my suspension and whatever you had under the hood off of you. From what I remember you had everything except for a S/C...
