He claims them to be original amg rims
is there a possible way to tell of they are original amg or counterfits
they do not have a mercedes logo with a part number on the back but several little numbers and fishbone like (////) markings on the back
so is there some1 who could help
and the rim is just oiled up so it looks dirty.

Post pics of the markings that are on the back. Going by your description I'm leaning towards them being fakes.
Even if they are fake they could be worth selling if they clean up well.

They look original to me, but that doesn't mean much. Mercedes is not manufacturing rims, at least not for last 20 years.
Like Strigoi said, on the back they will have at least 3 markings
-manufacturer name and country
-rims size &offset
- part number.
Part number will indicate what model it come from if the rim was build for MB.
From the picture looks like high-offset rim, likely for S.

I am posting some AMG Monoblocks on "Marketplace", have a close look.
As Kajtek1 pointed out, there is for sure a part number stamped on the back with the model number if it is a legit OEM wheel.
Mine came from an S class, W220, and you can see the size, off set and part number stamped into the back of the wheel in below picture.

I would think that if the country of origin that is cast on the back says Austria or Germany they are MB factory supplied. If it says China, they are aftermarket reproductions, not necessarily fakes. I have one AMG reproduction rim from China on our wagon & it seems to work just fine and is un-discernible from the front. I will say the Chinese casting is not as robust as the ones on the wagon that are marked Austria or Germany. That is a fact.

I also wonder if they're real if they don't have the MB logo. I suppose they could either be OEM or a replica. I know Wahler makes thermostats for MB, but if you buy a Wahler, everything is the same, but they burr out the spot that would have the MB logo.

The big picture is not showing good details, but I don't see any numbers at all?
Meaning if the manufactured is shamed to put his name on the product, what you can expect?
Most likely the alloy has no structural integrity.
Additionally if they copy-cat AMG mold, they are in violation of several laws.

I will pull one of my threads that has valuable info about wheel and tire sizes as well as off sets (ET) for the W211.

Take a look at the PDF file in above thread, it will give you all sizes and offsets (ET) as approved by MB for the W211.
