03 E500 Sagged at The Rear

My 03 E500 recently sagged at the right rear wheel. I've jacked the rear up & noticed the rubber dust boot which fits over the air spring is torn due to being old & part of it got wedged into the air spring between the two halves. I pulled the rubber out, sprayed the air spring & all the air fittings w/ soap water but couldn't find any leak so I thought I've fixed the problem. Car has been driven fine but now after 3 days of sitting, both left & right rear sagged yesterday so I went for a drive last night & no sagging as of this morning. I'll jack the rear up for another look but being 15 years old & 100K miles, I think both rear air springs have developed small leak & it's time for new ones. Before I replace them w/ the Arnott 1-piece air springs (without the reservoirs), can someone point me to the location of the air compressor, I want to check there too. Thanks

Konigstiger- Thank you so much. Btw, what's your take on this? I've been taking really good care of my car so it's in great shape & the fronts are holding up very well. If I can't find any leaks from the air compressor to the rear fittings then do you agree it's time to replace the old air springs w/ new ones as I don't want the leak to wear out the compressor?

Common for internal valve to fail see attachment (page 10) to better understand the system.

Nice photo of of the controller and what else is under the passenger side floor panel in that attached airmatic PDF. Thanks.

Always wondered what it looked like in there. Now has me wondering what that "plastic cracking" sound was when my wife folded down the rear passenger seat with her large purse sitting on the front passenger floor. Then the front passenger seat went into automatic travel forward mode and pinned her purse under the seat and floor board. Won't do that again.
