Longevity of 09 Benz E350 4matic Wagon
My E350 Wagon
Hey so I recently purchased a 2009 Mercedes-Benz E350 4matic Wagon from a family friend who is the only owner of the car. The vehicle has about 165550 miles on the odometer and is in prestine condition! I'm curious, does anyone have a e-class with 300,000+ on the odometer?

Beside the engines with balance shaft issues, those cars make 400k miles easy.
There is member on other forum who has W211 with Bluetec and well over 400k.
Enjoy.
Such a car deserves painted garage

Thanks for the advice!! But what about gas engines? Reason I ask is my mom had a diesel benz wagon that went to 500k before getting in a collision that killed the car. But i have not heard about alot of high mileage gas powered e-class.

My late friend was Indy mechanic and he had customer with over 600,000 miles on his gasoline W126.
Latest generation MB do have several issues that IMHO come from injecting new technology, but I have seen couple gasoline W210 with 400k on odometer.
W211 are too young to reach such mileage and those owners, who drive 100k miles a year don't want it to become public knowledge.

Nice Wagon! Good luck with it.
We totally dig our wagon with about 160K miles on it. Hope to get at least 250K miles out of the similar V8 version.

One of the primary reasons I bought my 09 a couple weeks ago was because all of the kinks have been worked out. I'm sure you will get plenty of trouble free miles with her. I would definitely make sure to change the fluid in the transfer case at regular intervals to prevent failure. I owned an 05 Jag X Type 3.0 (not a Benz I know) and I was religious with the transfer case. That's always a weak point with awd cars. Beautiful car, I love the color!

2007 E350 4matic wgn is up to 243,750
w.ith routine maintenance and replacing with OEM parts, mine is going strong. I think I have a timing chain wear issue because I have a bit of grinding at 1000 rpm as idle settles on cold start. I've added oil as appropriate to keep timing chain lubricated. I am going to replace the camshaft expansion plugs to resolve a leak

Most of these look pretty good even with high mileage, the paint seems very durable. Most just need some scuffs polished out and headlight lenses restored, and they look almost mint outside. Interior seems pretty durable too, besides the pockets on the back of the front seats, seat adjuster buttons, and common wear areas like steering wheel & shifter. The only thing that looks "bad" on all of them, in my opinion, is the panel gap/fit & finish of the hood around the headlights. But obviously that is just the way the sheetmetal was formed.
I am jealous, you are lucky to have found someone know you personally to buy one of these from. I've had a hell of a time trying to find a worthy one, finding a seller that has good communication skills, and working on getting the car inspected. All my prospects have been a few states away, just not many around where I live. I've actually almost bought 3 but none of them worked out, I lost $100 on the last one getting it inspected. It's been so tedious and stressful I gave up looking for now, I'd be thrilled to buy one from someone I know I can trust and take the BS out of this search. Part of me is like maybe I'll just wait and save up more to get a W212 wagon as they seem easier to find and seem to have the same reliability more or less.
Anyway congrats to you!

My 09 e550 just crossed 170k. I bought the car with 62k on it. Absolutely love the car. I hope to get another 130k or more from it before finally getting something else.
