High resistance in iginition squb 1 & 2

Resistance of iginition circuit with component R12/13 Driver airbag ignition squib 1, Resistance too high ?
Resistance of iginition circuit with component R12/14 Driver airbag ignition squib 2, Resistance too high ?
Both codes according to icarsoft MBII & SRS light on,model Mercedes 2006 W211 E200 Kompressor (Pre face lift)
Any help will be appreciated !

could be a clock spring or SCM wiring harness issue having loose contacts.... there's a LI in regards to this issue....

Clock spring contacts were the culprit,cleaned them & all is going well,Thanks

More frustration...
I have the exact same error... replaced the airbag.... No joy.
replaced the clockspring... No joy.

Just now I put my tester into the wiring on squib 1 on both sides I get continuity... same for squib 2.... And this is with the controller in the console unplugged.
Is it possible that BOTH of those pairs are crimped/crushed together somewhere, or are they (and I find this one SO incredulous that I can't believe I'm asking) supposed to be?

Oh, and for clarity, I took it to the stealer-ship.... they want $1224 to replace the connector under the driver's seat... I am relatively certain that R12/13 and R12/14 (Driver's side Squib 1 and Squib 2) are both in the steering wheel.

Any ideas where I can get this chunk of the harness, or am I looking at rebuilding this section myself?

Wonder why they thought a connector under the driver's seat was the issue. Have you taken a look down there to see what they were looking at?

Car model details & NO the squibs 1 and 2 cannot get crimped/crushed together in no way.

First, I think that they were going off of whatever their diagnostic said.... they never actually looked.
The diagnostic from the stealership says:

"C&D Battery charger
PErformed Short Test
Found Fault Code for front side airbag squib malfunction
Found connector for front side airbag squibs has increased resistance causing malfunction
*****************************
But, yes, I pulled the seat loose and took a look myself. One bright yellow connector for the seat airbag.

iCarSoft gives the exact same error as pictured here. Resistance too high r12/13 squib 1 and Resistance too hi r12/14 squib 2

I get EXACTLY the same error as you. I have the same iCarSoft diagnostic tool.
My screen is a duplicate of yours.

Hi Guys Resistance too high r12/13 squib 1 and Resistance too hi r12/14 squib 2 directlly relates to seat belt tensioners located at rear left & right, You guys must have had a little knock from behind or whaterver anyhow toy shall have to replace rear left & right tensioners whose fuse has blown out, ask if you need any more help.

I had the high resistance in R12/14. I replaced the clock spring yesterday and it worked. I had the light for at least a year. Good info guys. Now I need to tackle this EVAP pressure code... smh

In temporary lieu of purchasing a Star, I was considering the Carsoft, but perhaps a Foxwell NT520 would be a better choice.

Try clear the fault with different tools.
If also fail to clear then diagnose physically.

Hei, good text. I'm going to try check the tensioners asap with my W169.

Clock spring works apparently ok while its conductivity is app 1.5 ohm from airbag connector over to down side of clock spring. Hence, something else like tensioners?

I have been hunting for a solution to my driver squib resistance issue for 9 months and just came across this post...

Most of what I've read is pointing me toward other components but I know my issue is the driver side squib - the seatbelt tensioner as Shalinder noted here.

@Shalinder - can you help me out here? I don't know of any accident that would have triggered this, the seatbelt is not locked - is there a way to check and confirm if my tensioner is bad? From your post, it sounds like there's a fuse inside the tensioner that blows when it locks the airbag? Is this right? I wouldn't think the fuse is blown if the tensioner is unlocked and belt moves freely.

Any help is appreciated.

Hei, my case was with W169. The reason for r12/r13 r12/r14 squibs resistances were too high, was in wires between the clock-spring and the car chassis (under the steering pilar above the pedals). I first took out the clock-spring and measured its connectors (from steering wheel side to bottom of clock-spring) . They all were ~0.5 - 1ohms. OK. There are four wires related to squib resistances. One of them was loose. I shaked / twisted the wire and tried to reset SRS fault. The wire connection had changed ok again. The car accepted reset command and SRS was fixed. That's it!

One must note that SRS fault is not resetting itself automatically once the connectivity is ok again. Meaning, you can by "accident" fix the problem, but the SRS error light still stays on. It must be reseted and then SRS error lights turns off. Or other way round ... while shaking / twisting wires, SRS light is not going off, even though you have had "corrected" the reason for fault accidently. The conduit must as first be ok and after that try to reset SRS.

Hence, during the search of a fault (while you shake and twist the wires etc), you must always reset SRS after every effort. So, if I may propose: Move one wire only and try to reset SRS. If the reset is not successful, move just one single another wire and reset ... until the reset of SRS is successful. I was using iCarSoft Pro diagnostic tool. That tool also located the orginal fault to squibs at steering wheel.

Thanks. I did previously pull the steering wheel airbag and look at clock spring but I will check that again just in case it's a wire there that correlates to my driver belt tensioner - but does such a connection/wire exist between the two?

I have a CLK55 AMG 2004 with Code B1035 (R12/20 referenced) and Code B1070 (Component B48). What does these relate to and where would I find the components in the car? If you have a diagram please share.
