Ventilated seats

Do they work for you?

When I put mine on, I feel no difference. Even when I leave them onn for a long time. Can they be broken, or do they really not do anything?

I was under the impression that a small amount of air would blow through the perforations. Then someone said that the fan actualy pulls air through instaed of blowing out.

Before I go to my dealer, I would like to know your ideas

It takes 3 to 5 minutes to feel the affect of the fans. You can really feel the deference when it is hot enough that you need to use the air conditioner.
Also, if you put your hand on the seat when you turn on the switch you can feel the vibrations of the fans ( subtle ).

Maybe I haven't tried them under the right conditions, but I've never felt the effect of the ventilated seats. Seems like an unnecessary option to me.

Hi,
Hell Ona Harley
Have you read the above message

I have a wicked sense of humour and as soon as I read the comment it made me think of you sitting on your 'vibrating' Harley.

I KNOW I AM GOING TO GET INTO TROUBLE FOR THIS but I can't resist it

Sorry for my sense of humour

Its not necessarily what you CAN feel, but what you CANT..

You wont feel any air blowing, because it is sucking.. (suck is better than blow, right??) The purpose is to keep hot moist air out. It does work, as you will notice that your back will not be hot and sweaty. I have tested it when I drove to AZ.

I noticed in my co-workers Lincoln that it actually BLOWS and you can definately feel it. Feels wierd, really. Only advantage is that you know its working.

I agree, hard to tell that its working, but it does. You just dont notice.

I agree.... it does work. I was wondering too why I couldn't feel anything, but I tried turning it on/off during a long drive on a 90F+ day, and defintely noticed that I didn't get the ol' sweaty back when it was on.

L.O.L... The vibrations on that seat are far from subtle and you can really feel the ventilation feature kick in at about 80 m.p.h..

All bull****ing a side.... I find that you don't notice the venilation feature of the seats mechanically working, but do work quite well... I'm sure this is how MB wanted it and I'm fine with that.. (no distractions)... The fans are hardly heard and they do draw the air through the seats on do not blow out as stated in an earlier post.
I'm quite happy with them.

I cannot feel the air circulation but I thought I did when I originanly got the car. I wonder why when activated, it will show 3 bars then reduce to 2 then further reduce to 1 ? I want it on and on high and I have to re-set it?
