Just received a survey in the mail. Its a 8 pages of questions pretaining to the purchase of my e500. When I opened the survey a crisp and clean $1 dollar bill fell out... W.T.F...... I mean, I would've filled out the survey anyway but do they feel this is payment for my time spent???? Do they feel this would sway the people that would'nt fill out the survey to do so??? What a joke!!!
Boy, talk about cheapening the name.......They are much better off keeping the whopping $1. Perhaps they feel after spending all that loot on their car I need it???? or perhaps this is the reason why they are decontenting the e-class for 05???
I guess I'll make a side note somewhere on the survey or on the dollar bill itself when I send it back....

I got the purchase survey too last week... but no $1!! Must be selective cost cutting

 

fill out the survey, send the dollar back asking that MB put it towards those rubber ashtray mats they deleted in the 2005s. That'll make a statement!

FUNNY I SHOULD SEE THIS HERE, ABOUT A WEEK AGO A CUSTOMER OF MINE CAME IN TO THE DEALER WITH SOMETHING VERY SIMILAR TO WHAT YOU ARE DESCRIBING, SAID HE WAS VERY UPSET WITH THE FACT THAT BENZ WOULD TRY TO GIVE HIM A DOLLAR FOR HIS TIME, WELL UPON FURTHER INVESTIGATION I FOUND THAT THIS WAS NOT FROM BENZ AT ALL BUT FROM A MARKETING FIRM TRYING TO GET HIM TO FILL OUT A SURVEY ON HIS BUYING EXPEIRIENCE, AND UPON FURTHER INVESTIGATION FOUND THAT THEY WOULD THEN TAKE ALL THAT INFO AND YOUR INFO AND SELL IT TO OTHERS, MY OPINION, A CLEAVER WAY TO GET ALL YOUR INFO, AND TAKE YOU OFF THE DO NOT CALL LIST, I THEN TOLD THE CUSTOMER TAKE THE DOLLAR AND RIP UP THAT PAPER AND CALL IT A DAY.

very easy, in fact you could also get all the info on cars either bought or sold in your state or for that fact any state, in the u.s i do not know about canada, but we call them cross sale reports, and many people use them for info, also you can get the records from the dmv, from new registration, and title info.

I just got one in the mail today (Mauritz Research, Toledo OH) with a fresh crisp dollar bill inside. Eight pages long, basically 7 1/2 pages of car related questions with the last half of page 8 asking some personal information (age, education, race, employment, income, etc)

Only this survey is for the car I bought for my son in March - a 2004 Mazda 3!

I think TNTJMC had it right is his post, this is just a marketing survey. I think I'll keep Mauritz Research's dollar and tear up the survey!

Is this normal? I received a survey today about my Acura from Maritz Reseach. When I opened the envelope, there was a dollar bill inside. Is this normal? Is everyone else receiving money in the mail? Too bad it wasn't a $100 dollar bill!
