noises
ok, here is a new one for group-
i get several various chimes or noises
in my nearly 3 month old e500 4matic.
about 4x a week while driving, usually
in 1st 15 minutes, but not limited to this,
i hear a chime go off with no displays on dash
coming up.......totally baffled?
another one is if i unlock car, but dont start
it up immediately, i hear a whole series of
several different chimes going off. all are fairly quiet
not alarm type sounds..........any ideas? not on drugs
or crazy, nor suffering any post traumatic disorders...lol.

That was mine, but I heard noises when the car was not running. You're hearing these chimes when the car is running, right? Mine was more of a high pitch chirp or whistle than a chime. Jeez, this almost comical. Never found out what it was. There is no way I was going to try to explain that one to the dealer

Speaking of noise ... lately I have been hearing something strange that sounds like gas being released ...
Have you guys/gals ever followed a bus or some big rig and when they brake, there is some kind of hissing sound that resembles a gas pump releasing gas? Well, lately, I started hearing the same sound when I applied the brakes on my E500. Initially, I thought the sound came from cars around me but late one evening, I heard distinctly .... MY CAR released GAS
