2008 e350 4matic front brakes

I'm in the process of replacing front pads on a 2008 e350 4matic. Does anyone know if there is a special tool to get the pins/bolts out that hold the caliper in. I don't have the standard 14mm head stud but a rounds pin with, what looks like, an inverted hex hole in the middle.

thanx for any help

Yes, external torx. couldn't tell you what size because I had to modify one that I had. There was a ton of thread lock on the studs.

Caliper bolts are 9mm hex recessed in and covered by the plastic cap. Just did mine.

planning to do my breaks. How did you remove the thread lock? Manually with a scrapped or did you put a torch on it for a second or 2?
