In For Service with a list..
1) Driver seat adjustment clunks and pops
2) Passenger driving dynamic doesn't work
3) NAV is off 50-100 feet
4) SBC update
5) Radio static software upgrade
6) Windshield nozzles spray all over the place except on the windshield
Just wondering if anyone can add to this list for me cuz I have experienced many problems that you have initiated threads about. I feel like I am forgetting some things so help me out so I can get the E in order..

Well sorry to be negative but they have now had over 2 years to sort out problems. They are bloody slow. They will sort them all and then change the design. I think that the rule of never buy in the first year of a model should be extended to 2 years if u buy a Mercedes.
Saying that touch wood i have no further problems since the first 2. Car now 8 weeks old, 5000 miles.

my experience: don't let them touch it unless its absolutely neccessary (eg doesnt work at all), otherwise, they'll probably make it worse and screw up 2-3 other small things
Agreed.

Don't forget the pulling to the right, and track 1 43/03 COMAND update. I also asked for this to be fixed, it was on the work order that they did it, but the problem still exists.
Although the steering is now a little vague, the pulling to the right is 90% fixed for me, which had gotten pretty bad in my car.
So I recommend find an alignment shop that people who track their Porsches, etc go to. Review the specs before they start. You can ask them to set it to the limits one way or another or beyond. Typically I will ask for the maximum negative camber front and rear, maximum positive caster in the front, and a minimal 1/16" top out if allowed or tow in. A good shop will make sure the wheels are square. Or they will tell you that they aren't.
I do that regularly with my cars (actually once every 2-3 years) and everything is fine.

P.S.
The cars are a '94 Supra TT, an '04 S2000 and a '01 BMW 530. Earlier cars included a 91 MR2 Turbo, '86 MR2, 98 BMW 528, 95 Mazda Millenia S, '92 Honda Accord.
I was thinking also that the dealer might not be the best for alignment. what kind of place do you take it to? Are there such things as alignment shops? or are you taking it to a tire store.

I myself asked for 3, 4, and 5 to be done. After I got my car back, the Nav is still off by 50 feet, I can't tell yet if the SBC groaning has been fixed, but according to the work order, they just test drove it and didn't fix anything. I also mentioned the static, but it only happened a few times when it was extremely cold.

ps I'm talking from my experience with the alignment problem that was never fixed - and I ended up having to PAY for an alignment AND the supposed "camber bolt" fix to the pulling to the right problem (bcs my car had over 12K miles) which they never got right and STILL pulls to the right!!
And moa, you are right. The service bay was certainly full. It seemed very chaotic, but the service advisor seemed to be trying his best. But still, you kind of get the impression that 1) they have never heard of some of these problems before (or that they heard of them but knew of no way to fix it), and 2) that they were basically with the car and trying out different things to see what works and what doesn't. I did get calls every day as to the status of the vehicle. I had the loaner for a full week, since they first had to order some new Parktronic sensors, then they had to be painted.
To get it to groan - all I have to do is apply the brakes ~ 5 times or so and the pump will activate.
IIRC it also groans when I unlock the car first thing thing in the morning.
Since I had been in some stop and go and a lot of local driving (it did take me 25 minutes to go just a few miles to get home with it), it seemed that it was not happening, which is good.
heard some hissing and clicking when I unlock it and open the door.
but I stopeed noticing it after a while...
I will compile the list and the fixed agenda and whatever the techs said on this thread as I know many of you have added to my list and want to how it'll all make out..
