2008 E350 CPS

Currently own a 2008 E350 4Matic with 133+k miles. Cars runs beautifully with no problems. However, I’ve been doing some reading on the common CPS problem these cars seem to have. I’m considering changing mine for “preventative” purposes. I get the impression that they came equipped with more than one model (part #) of CPS. Is that the case? Can the correct part be gotten from the VIN? I have the M112 engine with
VIN=WDBUF87X68B229962.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanx for the info.

Is it recommended to replace the cam sensor at the same time? If so, do you also have that part #?

Referring to camshaft position sensors (2729050043), or solenoids (2720510177)?

Does the crank sensor really need STAR to program/calibrate it like the PDF states?

Theoretically you might want to reset the sensor or if there are stored fault codes affecting performance however, you really should not need to do anything just drive and the car will learn itself.
