2008 Mercedes E350 service E
Hi everyone,
I am new to this forum and apologize if my questions are silly. My mom recently bought a 2008 Mercedes E350 4 matic and it now shows Service E due in 25 days. The service booklet and this page https://mbworld.org/forums/e-class-w...s-211-usa.html explain various services for this car, but they are referred by numbers, not by letters. What should be done during service E? I called the dealer and he said it is the same as service A, which is oil change, top-off fluids, and multipoint inspection. Is there a description of services A, B,C, etc. somewhere I can read? If I do the service myself (or just not at the dealer) how do I reset the service indicator?
Also, I tried to go through the steps on this page https://mbworld.org/forums/e-class-w...s-211-usa.html to get more information, but something is not correct. I don't see FSS PLUS indicator when I press up or down. It only shows "Service E due", temperature, tire pressure, etc. If I hold odometer reset knob on the screen with Service E due for 5 sec it just resets the trip odometer. What am I doing wrong?
Thanks.

Choose items to identify services due. See attachment for A… explanation.

Thanks. The video is helpful. I am still confused about what needs to be done as "Service E". The document you attached says that for 2008 W211 car service E means 5 hours at the service interval of 13000 miles. But how do I know what will be done during these 5 hours? Is there a list of items or tasks that is done for the service E (or any other service A, B, C etc.)? The document says the service scope is calculated by MBMS. How can I read that data? The dealer said that Service E is the same as Service A, which is not what this document says.

At approximately 50 in video choose “Items” in menu this should give you service #s. Ccross reference these #s to my link you provided. Service E will include oil change and additional recommendations based on elapsed time and mileage. Attached 2009 service sheet (current) covers mileage/elapsed time - required/recommended service.

Thanks. Under the "Items" I have US Services 3,5,7,12, and 14. Are they referring to the service number in the link above (and sticky thread), i.e. 3 - combination filter, 5 - fuel filter, 7 - spark plugs, 12 - engine oil and filter and 14 - multipoint inspection?
I also see under "Additional work" Services 2,3,5,7,8,9,10, and 12. Should they be done as well (meaning that the car is past due on these), or is it just a recommendation and something a mechanic might or might not do based on the inspection?
Also, I have 495000000J in the service data. What does it mean?
Thanks.
