No start after transmission replacement

2004 W211 E500 17000 miles car was running and driving but transmission failed.
After transmission replacement car will not start
Starter engages and cranks fine, fuel pressure is fine. It acts like a bad CPS i installed a new bosch unit, tested wiring back to ECU al is fine but still wil not start. Injectors are not firing and theres no spark.
Went thru all the fuses lookong for a problem there nothing.
What am i mising ? What part of installing a replacement transmission could cause the engine management system to fail ?
It dose continue to have the p0335 code i can clear it but it comes right back after cranking.
I went back and rechecked the new CPS , connector and wires to the ECU and see no problems.
Any thoughts on what could be causing this no start would be greatly appreciated
Thanks Steve

This is what's happening on my 2005 e55! I know this is old but did you ever figure out why?

I believe the Transmission Control Module (TCM) is part of the Drive Authorization System (DAS).

And does it need to be reset or anything when installing a new transmission?

Your car should have system DAS3. The ignition switch (EIS), engine control module (ECM), TCM and key must all be coordinated to the VIN. Mercedes Benz has a lengthy description of the system for independent repair facilities.

The usual method is to use the TCM from the original transmission. The shop that did the transmission swap should be consulted to be certain that they did this. If they did, the problem is likely to be elsewhere.

There may be a way to re-program the system, but it is well beyond my level of expertise.

I had it rebuilt, and I installed it back on my car, no modules were changed or moved

It starts on RARE occasion at random, but runs fine once it starts. Tomorrow I get a fuel pressure gauge to check but it was running fine before the rebuild, so for it to now basically not run is amazing me

From my experience, TCM does not affect the engine startability. I replaced EIS, ELV and ECU from abother car, and it started just fine. But did not engage the gear because of the mismatched VIN in the TCM.

Do you have any codes?

I have one code for the crank position sensor (po335) and that's it. I did remove the flywheel to do the rear main seal while the transmission was out

And yes, I have replaced my cps with a known working one (one in dad's car) and still no start. Getting correct fuel pressure but no spark I believe
