Wood & Leather steering wheel options
Trying to find a replacement steering wheel in wood and leather for my 2005 E320 sport (Avantgarde) and I'm coming up blank. The problem is finding one with Beige leather and the darker wood from the sport trim. I've found ones with the right wood in black leather, and ones with beige leather but with the wrong wood. Here's a pic of my dash to show the color wood I need.
My interior color code is: 835A - AMARETTA/LEATHER/NAPPA/SEMI-ANILINE - BEIGE
I didn't see anything in my VIN decode that said what color the wood is but as you can see it's the darker wood from the sport / Avantgarde package. Any help is greatly appreciated!
Also need a replacement center A/C vent in that color as you can see from the crack, but I believe I may have a source for that. Yes I know I have dead pixels in my COMAND unit, I'm about to replace it with one of those look alike Android units.

Go with the black wheel with the correct wood.
I swapped out the stock tan colored wheel on my W210 wagon for a black one from a W210 E55. I love it. I hate the light color interiors as things you touch get marks on them. The E55 wheel is also leather while the stock E320 one was rubbery and soft feeling.
My before and after pics. 100% worth it. I also sold my stock tan steering wheel for more than I paid for the E55 one (which I got for a killer deal from a member on here).

I had thought about that. My E39 BMW 528i had a two tone beige interior similar to ours, darker beige/brown at the top and light beige at the bottom, and had a black steering wheel. However it also had a black steering column which I think made it blend in a little better. Yours looks good, but I would still prefer something that looks more factory for the W211.

Oh no! I'm sorry! It still looks good, I'm just super OCD is all. If I did the swap I'd just paint the steering column and the bellows around it in the dash black. I think that would make it look factory.
Here's a rather bad pic of my BMW's interior, but it shows the black steering wheel and steering column.
My Volvo S60 was also made like that.
It's actually a good look. You've really got me thinking about doing that now, with the painted steering column of course.
My other option would be to get one of those custom sport steering wheels and forget the wood.

Once you go black you can never go back
203 before
After
My 211 wagon had a factory wood wheel. Its really not a nice thing to use for you know driving. It doesn't feel right in the hand.
Swapped it out for this out of an SLK.

I had thought about swapping in a three spoke wheel from an SL, I read on here those fit also but I was worried about a color match. Going black fixes that problem.
I'm not set on wood, but I think it looks nice and I don't drive with my hands on the parts of the wheel that are wood anyway so the feel wouldn't bother me. Main thing is I believe it would hold up to the sun better than leather, the top of my wheel is so dried out and crusty right now, which is why I want to swap it.

Not sure where you are located but I'd get the wheel with the right wood and then take it to a shop that can change the leather to the correct/close color. It'll take a leather or auto upholstery specialist, like a shop that has been around 50 years but they're out there. Go by with your current wheel now and explain what you need.

Don't put a black steering wheel. Your car would look like it was made at the junk yard (no disrespect intended for the members that are in favor of this). I have the same interior color option as yours and being an earth tone I believe it should not be mixed with black. I am at the second steering wheel with beige leather and birdseye maple (attached). In time the leather gets bad and I preferred to get another one. I got both of them from eBay https://www.ebay.com/itm/OEM-Mercede...MAAOSwXgxcShMW.
